I need to add a user(bookkeeper) it says I need to upgrade but can only do that through Apple since I purchased QB on my phone. Doesnt give me options in Apple 4 upgrade

Welcome to Community!  It's nice to hear that you'll be inviting an accounting professional to your books.  QuickBooks Online enables two accountant/bookkeeper users on your account.  I would be happy to provide more information, so you can accomplish your QuickBooks goals in a timely fashion!

The message that you see regarding the need to upgrade your subscription, indicates that you already have two accountant users listed in your books.  In this case, you can remove one of the accountants, if they no longer work for you.  This will provide the option to invite another accountant without error.  Here's how;

1. Log into QuickBooks Online as a Primary Admin

2. Open your Settings ⚙, then select Manage users

3. Click on the Accountants or Accounting firms tab

4. For the accountant you want to remove, select Delete, in the Action column

You should now be able to Invite an accountant.

If you experience the same message, stating you need to upgrade your subscription, please contact our Customer Care team at 1-855-253-1536 from Monday to Friday between the hours of 9 AM and 8 PM EST.  With your consent, they can transfer your current billing to Intuit, and assist you with upgrading your subscription seamlessly.
