I was asked to 'resubscribe', but the 'verify' button on the bottom remained greyed out. I clicked 'cancel', now I can't sign in. Has anyone had this issue?

First, ensure the payment details you entered during the resubscription process are correct. Incorrect payment information can prevent the verification process from completing successfully. Double-check your card information or other payment details to make sure they are accurate.

Resubscribing also requires email confirmation. Check your email inbox, including any spam or junk folders, for a verification link from QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE). Follow the steps provided in the email to complete your resubscription. 

Let's also open an incognito or private window and attempt to resubscribe from there. The greyed out verify button is likely caused by stored cache. You can refer to these shortcut keys to access the resubscription page again:

• Mozilla Firefox: CTRL + Shift + P
• Microsoft Edge: CTRL + Shift + N
• Google Chrome: CTRL + Shift + N
• Safari: Command + Shift + N

If the issue is resolved, clear your regular browser's cache to refresh your connection and browsing history. Keep in mind to exclude the cookies. If the issue persists, use a different supported browser, as your current one may have a temporary compatibility issue with QuickBooks.
