Question

Is there an easier way to back-up my QBO data before cancelling the subscription? I'm closing my business and trying to avoid having to save individual reports. Thanks!

Hi veronica5,

It's a good practice to save your data before canceling your subscription. The Export tool in QuickBooks Online enables you to back-up your data all at once. I'll be happy to share more on this.

After canceling your QuickBooks Online account, we save your data for up to 365 days. You can pick up where you left off if you decide to come back, but if it's after a year, you won't have access to your previous data. With the Export tool in the program, you can back-up data such as List and Reports. All you need to do is go to the Gear icon > Export data > Export to Excel. Here's an article to assist you with that: Export your reports to Excel from QuickBooks Online

Other data you can import include Estimates, Purchase order, Chart of AccountsRecurring Templates, Products and ServicesAttachments, and Customer data. You can learn more about the necessary steps to import those in these articles.

I hope this helps! Feel free to stop by any time if you need anything else.
