Question

My client is taking over their accounting. They will not have another accountant. How can i transfer their data file to a new user?

Hey there Robyn26,

 

Thanks for reaching out to us here! When it comes to transferring the account to your client, there are a few steps you'll need to take. Let me show you!

 

1- Sign into the client account as the Primary Admin 

2- Head to Manage Users

3- Make the client a Company Admin.

 

Once your client has accepted the Company Admin invitation, you will see the option to transfer the role of Primary Admin (you) to the Company Admin (your client) in the Manage users section. Once this has been accomplished you will need to go to your subscription page and transfer the billing to the client. This makes the account fall inactive until the new Primary Admin logs on and will then be prompted to enter their payment method. Here is a helpful guide for your reference.

**NOTE** You must make the client a Primary Admin on the account before transferring the billing. Otherwise they need to re-subscribe to access it and make the necessary changes.
