Preventing a user from changing a reconciled transaction

Hello, 

Is it possible to create a role that can create/modify/delete entries, but NOT if doing so would make the account negative?

QuickBooks Desktop is a powerful program which allows you to automate most of the manual tasks involved in your business. I'll be glad to share info that'll steer you in the right direction. 

Setting up a user that cannot modify or delete reconciled transactions isn't a feature that's available yet in QuickBooks Desktop. A way around this would be setting a closing date in QuickBooks but that would affect all users on the account.
