Hi there,

It's fantastic to hear that you're looking to enter some additional details about your business within your Account and Settings. QuickBooks Online gives you the option to add a variety of additional details, and I'd like to go over this with you.

When you access the Company tab of the your Account and Settings you'll have the option to select a Tax form from the dropdown menu, and enter your Industry within the Company Type section. These are optional fields and you're not required to complete them, but should you choose to, you'll want to enter what best fits your business. If you'd like an idea of what industry your business falls under, check out the Canadian Industry Statistics from the Government of Canada.

If you'd like some additional support with this, you can always consult with your accountant. They'll have a good idea of which industry type your business falls under. Invite them to work on your books with you by navigating to the My Accountant tab. If you're not yet working with an accountant, the Find a pro to help button will bring you to a database of QuickBooks-certified accountants that'd be happy to support you.

I wish you all the best in the new year!
