Why is this program not going to be updated anymore as of April 20, 2021. I just purchased it and there will be no support?

Since you're seeing that message, that signals to me that that's the portal you're using. This app is something you could download onto your desktop and use it as a portal to access QuickBooks Online without a browser. The support and updates for this app will be discontinued, but QuickBooks Online is still a supported product and our team can help if you have questions. The change is that we now recommend you use a browser to work with the program because if you run into trouble, we won't be able to troubleshoot with you if you're using the app for Windows/Mac.
