Will cancelling my payroll subscription delete my data? My accountant claims that this would delete all our data. Could you clarify this for me? All data or just payroll?

I can understand the concern that you may potentially lose all of your data when cancelling payroll.  QuickBooks Online Payroll is an additional feature for our customers and you can rest assured that you won't lose your QuickBooks Online data.  I'd be happy to take this opportunity to put things into perspective for you.

Any information recorded in payroll remains, even if you cancel.  Keep in mind, you can't cancel the service until the end of the billing period and you'll have to resubscribe to access any records or forms.  For example, had you entered employees and ran payroll and then cancelled the subscription prior to printing T4's or ROE's, you'd have to subscribe to payroll so you can select and review the items for printing.  You can continue with all other features in QuickBooks Online with all of your data intact. I hope this helps!
