To add to the dilemma, I cannot find the "Accounting" tab to edit...  it should be below the "Printing" tab, correct?

Thanks for adding a screenshot and additional details of you concern, snowshoeman.

I'm here to provide the details you need and share some possible solutions to get this right.

Yes, you're correct. The Accounting should be seen under the Printing tab when you're using QuickBooks Online Payroll (Core, Elite, and Premium).

We can access your account on a private or incognito window. It helps us check the cause of the issue and prevents your browser from storing additional cache.

  • Press keys: Ctrl + Shift + P (Mozilla Firefox & Microsoft Edge browser)
  • Press keys: Ctrl + Shift + N (Google Chrome browser)
  • Press keys: Command + Shift + N (Safari browser)

Then, we can clear the cache and temporary internet files to optimize the browser's performance. Deleting cache and temporary internet files will also help delete the information stored in the cache. Another way is to use compatible browsers with QuickBooks Online

I'm having the same problem exactly as described by the original poster. I tried an incognito window and cleared the cache as your response suggested. I still cannot see the Accounting tab in the payroll preferences.
