Adding Bill Pay to QBO Advance Purchased via TechSoup

I'm reaching out to see if anyone else has encountered a similar issue with their QuickBooks Online Advance subscription. Our organization recently acquired QBO Advance through TechSoup, aiming to leverage its features for better financial management. However, we've run into a snag while attempting to add the Bill Pay feature.

Upon trying to activate Bill Pay, we received an error message stating that we don't have a subscription, which was confusing since our subscription is active. After contacting QuickBooks support, I was informed that adding Bill Pay might not be possible due to our purchase through TechSoup.

Has anyone else purchased QBO Advance through TechSoup and successfully added Bill Pay? Any insights or workarounds you can share would be greatly appreciated as we navigate this issue.

Hello there, tomviii.

Bill Pay is only available when you directly purchase the product from Intuit. As a workaround, I suggest looking for a third-party payment processor. Here's how:

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks account.
  2. Go to the Apps menu, Select Find Apps
  3. Enter your preferred application.

In addition, you can check out this article to learn more about recording expenses: Enter and manage expenses in QuickBooks Online.

You can signup for a free Melio account to integrate with QBO as a workaround. Then you can pay your bills by ACH for free. You can get $100 cashback to pay the first bill. Click on my profile name and you will find the cashback link there.
