Adding new user

I am adding a new user. They accept the invite request sent via email, however, once they accept and try to login, it says the password is incorrect and it wants to send a code to a phone number that doesn't belong to our company.

I'll provide the necessary details to ensure the user can successfully accept the invitation and log in to your account, gmdelano.

 

This situation arises when the email address or the user you're trying to add already has an existing Intuit account. Additionally, the phone number is linked to the user's account and not from your company.

 

In that case, the user will need to either reset their password by following these steps:

 

  1. Let the user go to our sign-in help page.
  2. Ask the user to enter the email address or user ID.
  3. If they enter the email address, we’ll send an email with a verification code. If they enter a user ID, choose which method they prefer.
  4. Let them enter the verification code we sent, or follow the instructions in the message. We may ask for a little more info to make sure it’s really them.
  5. When prompted, let them reset the password.

 

Once logged in, they can proceed to changing the phone number associated with their account.
