I'll help you upgrade your company file, RadRick01.

Before the process, let's try a few things in the previous version of QuickBooks:

  1. Resort your lists.
  2. Verify and Rebuild the data file
  3. Check your Qbwin.log file for error messages.

These steps will help us get rid of any issues when upgrading.

Once done, create a backup copy of your company file, then restore it on the new version. This will update the file automatically.

If it's asking you to create a new password, that's because of the password protection feature of QuickBooks Desktop. You can reset it by clicking I forgot my password, then enter a new one.

We're here if you have other concerns. Feel free to keep in touch.
