Right now I only see totals by category but not each exense.

I can share details about running reports in QuickBooks Online(QBO).

 

Is the profit and loss details report what you're referring to? If yes, this report is available exclusively in QBO Plus, Essentials, and Advanced. 

 

It appears that you're using the Simple Start version based on the information you've provided. This report can be accessed by upgrading your current subscription to include all financial reports. Alternatively, you can run the Transaction List by Vendor. Then, customize its date and details. After that, export your report to Excel so you can personalize it to view the total expenses.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Go to the Reports menu.
  2. Scroll down to the For my Accountant section, select Transaction List by Vendor.
  3. Click the Customize button, choose the correct reporting period.
  4. Select the necessary details you want to include in your report.
  5. Once done, hit Run report.
  6. Click the Export icon, then select Export to Excel.
