Hello there, Menorah.

Since QuickBooks Online (QBO) is a cloud-based accounting software, it automatically backs up your data.  This means that whenever changes are made to your company file, your data is saved into two hard drives. Thus, you don't need to worry about saving your QBO data on a flash drive. However, it is still best to click Save or Done whenever you're creating or making changes in your QBO company file. This will ensure that any changes you make are saved immediately and can be retrieved easily if needed.

You can also access this website to learn more about how QuickBooks keeps your data safe and secure: Do I need to back up my data with QuickBooks Online?

Additionally, you can use the Audit Log report to view the changes made to transactions and who made them.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Reports menu.
  2. Enter Audit Log within the Search bar icon, and then click it
  3. You can customize the UserDate Changed, and Events according to your preferences.
  4. Scroll down and find a transaction that you'd want to view.
  5. Under the History column, you can click View after finding the specific transaction.
  6. You can now see the Audit History

I'll be around to assist you more. Just leave a reply if you have further concerns. Have a nice day, and be safe.
