Are you other QB online users getting frustrated by the time it takes to refresh a page?

Thanks for bringing this to our attention, @don-martin.

I'll provide a few troubleshooting steps to get around this issue with the QuickBooks Online page taking time to load.

First, I'd like to ask what page are you trying to enter information on. This way, I can check here on my end if other users also encountered the same issue.

In the meantime, try to log in to your account using a private window to rule out the possibility of having a browser-related issue. Thus, it causes discrepancies that affect the view and performance of your QuickBooks.

You can use these keyboard shortcut keys to open it in all supported browsers:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Safari 11 or newer: ⌘ + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Shift + Ctrl + P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + N

If it works, you can return to your original browser and clear its cache, not the cookies to start fresh. You can also use another supported, up-to-date browser and ensure a strong internet connection to narrow down the results.

In addition, I've got this helpful resource for future reference to guide you further in case your QBO still doesn't load correctly: QuickBooks Online doesn't load correctly or has blank pages.

To let you manage your display settings, this resource can guide you further: Unable to see the entire page in QuickBooks Online.

Revisit me here in the Community, and feel free to keep me posted on your progress. You can always hit the Reply button and post your updates. Take care always.

using incognito helped slightly, I use chrome mostly, the slow page refresh has been going on for some time, at home or office its the same, 2 different PC's by the way.

what a waste of time to wait so much for each page to refresh,

I also cleared cache, guess I'll wait to see.

Appreciate what you've done so far on your end, @don-martin. I'm here to help with your issue in reloading a page here in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Let's make sure that there's no problem with your internet connection at home or in the office. This being said, I'd suggest doing a speed test on your internet. This way, we can identify if there's an issue.

However, if you have a stable internet connection and are still experiencing issues, it's best to get in touch with our support team. They can connect you with a live agent who can assist you in real-time and investigate the issue.

Here's how:

  1. Sign in to your QBO account.
  2. Click Help (?).
  3. Select Contact Us and choose a way to connect with us:
  • Start a chat with a support expert.
  • Get a callback from the next available expert.

Additionally, I've added this article to walk you through if you're having a network error showing on the screen: What to do when a network issue error has occurred.

Feel free to return to this thread if you need further assistance logging in to your QBO account. I'm always here to help.

@don-martin   I haven't noticed any slowing, so far.  I'll let you know if that changes.

Also, I have seen a couple other threads from people having the same issue.  Definitely sounds like a QB issue, not your browser.
