Question

Attempting to install QBO apps for Etsy. However, when I click on any app in the apps screen, the new tab it opens stops on a blank white screen. No error. Why?

Per title. I'm logged in to QBO, in the Apps tab. Each app opens up in a new tab, but each new tab is just an empty white screen. No ad blocker. No VPN.

Let's isolate this unexpected behavior by accessing your QuickBooks account on a private or an incognito browser. Sometimes, the stored data in your regular browser gets corrupted and affects the programs performance. You can use any of these keyboard shortcuts:

  • For Google Chrome browser: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • For Mozilla Firefox browser: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • For Safari browser: Command + Shift + N

Once logged in, you can try integrating and installing your Etsy app again. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Apps menu.
  2. Search for the Etsy app you're using.
  3. Click the Get app now button. 
  4. Select the Connect button. 
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process.

If it works in incognito, you'd want to clear the cache of your regular browser. This removes the history or log of sites so you can start with a clean slate.  Also, you can use another supported browser as alternatives.
