I can't seem to find the preference that exist in the "general" preferences of QBD as an option on QBO.  Anyone know where it's hiding?

You'll have to turn this option on first, ABS51502.

I've got the steps on how to do it:

  1. From the Gear icon, select Account and Settings.
  2. Go to the Advanced tab.
  3. Click the pencil (edit) icon on the Automation section.
  4. Select Pre-fill forms with previously entered content to enable auto-recall.
  5. Click Save, and then Done.

Once done, the system will automatically enter the details of your last transaction.

You can also check auto-recall to pre-fill transactions for more information.

Feel free to get in touch with me if there's anything that I can help!

Unfortunately I tried that already before requesting assistance.  Didn't work.

Hello, @ABS1.

In QuickBooks Online, to recall the last transaction automatically is not available. However, you can turn on auto-recall in QuickBooks to automatically fill in the rest of the transaction when you select a customer, vendor, employee for enter bills, write checks, or Enter Credit Card Charges.

I know how useful for you to have this option to work with QuickBooks seamlessly. But I want to let you know that your voice matters and I'm submitting this feedback to our product engineers for consideration.

For now, you can visit our blog site so you'll be able to get the latest news about QuickBooks and what our Product Care Team is working on.
