Barcode Scanning without inventory tracking

Hi there, LeroGibbs. I can help create an item without tracking the inventory in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).

Yes, it's possible not to track your inventory, so it won't affect your books in QBDT. Since you don't want to track your items, you can set them up as Non-inventory or Services.

Here's how:

1. On the menu bar, click Lists.
2. Select Item List. On the Item dropdown, click New.
3. Under the Type field, select Non-inventory Part.
4. Enter the price of the item.
5. Once done, select OK.
