Being added to client Quickbooks with ability to add team members

Hi.  A new client which already has Quickbooks will be inviting me to their Quickbooks. (I have a QB Pro-Advisor account with about 15 clients and 3 team members aside from myself).  Most of the day-to-day bookkeeping will be done by my team members.

Does my client need to invite me as an accounting firm and/or as an Admin in order that I may assign team members to a client, or does it not matter?

Thanks

I've got you covered, @CFOSecrets. I'll be sharing some information about the ability to add team members to your client.

Yes, you can have your client invite your accounting firm as an Accountant user from their company file. You can also share this article that they can use as a reference.

Meanwhile, in your QuickBooks Online Accountant (QBOA), you can manage the access of your team to which client files they can have access to.

For more information about how you can manage your team in QBOA, feel free to check out this article: Add and manage your accounting team in QuickBooks Online Accountant.

Also, in case your team member needs access to a specific client, follow the steps in this article to change their access permissions: Change your team's admin access in QBO Accountant.

Keep me posted if you need anything else or if you have other questions about managing your team in QBOA. I'll be here to help. Take care and have a great day!
