Let me help ensure you're able to print all checks for 2019 from the bank register, Martine.

You'll want to perform some troubleshooting steps to isolate the issue. Let's start by making sure your browser is updated and you're using supported ones.

The following browsers are supported on both web and mobile devices.

  • Google Chrome: version 78 or newer
  • Mozilla Firefox: version 76 or newer Note: To preview and print forms on Mac OS, you'll also need the Firefox PDF plugin.
  • Microsoft Edge: version 75 or newer
  • Safari: version 12 or newer (Mac only).

Then, go back to your QuickBooks account and export again the 2019 checks from the register.

Let me show you how:

  1. Go to Accounting from the left menu, then Chart of Accounts.
  2. Find the Checking account, then click View register.
  3. Click the Filter icon.
  4. Select Custom from the Date drop-down, then enter 01/01/2019 to 12/31/2019.
  5. Click Apply.
  6. Click the Export to Excel icon.

If you're still exporting the portion of the register, you can run the Transaction Detail by Account report. Then, filter the data to show all checks only for a specific account.

Here's how:

  1. On the left navigation bar, click Reports.
  2. Select Transaction Detail by Account under For my accountant.
  3. Press Customize in the upper-right corner.
  4. Choose the date range.
  5. Under Filter, put a checkmark on the box beside Transaction TypeDistribution Account, and Cleared.
  6. Select Check for Transaction Type.
  7. Choose the account in the Distribution Account drop-down.
  8. Click Run report, then export it to Excel.
