Question

Can anyone explain why in QB "select an account," my account shows up but the connect button is not operating. What do I do?

I have selected "bank data", connect to my account, the account is listed with a green check mark. I attempt to select the account and connect, but the connect button is not operating. Is there a quick fix?

I've come to help connect your account, @tmehn-clerel-org.

There are times your browser is full of frequently accessed page resources causing websites, like QuickBooks Online (QBO), to act weirdly. And can be the reason why connecting an account to online banking is not operating as expected.

To begin with, let's consider logging into your QBO account using a private browser. To use a private or incognito browser, here's how:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl Shift P
  • Safari: Command Option P
  • Edge: Ctrl Shift + N

If this works, it means you need to clear your browser's cache so the system can start fresh and you're now able to select an account to connect with online banking. But if you get the same result while using a private browser, let's switch to different supported browsers instead.

I'm adding this article that'll guide you in working with your bank and credit card accounts so they always match with your statements: Reconcile an Account in QuickBooks Online.
