Hello, wschulman300. I understand the importance of correcting the date of your account reconciliation in QuickBooks Online (QBO). We can work together to sort this out.

Since you finished the reconciliation process, you need to undo the reconciliation and correct the year date.

You can manually undo the reconciliation or invite an accountant to undo the entire reconciliation for you. They can undo the entire period at once using QuickBooks Online Accountant.

To invite your accountant:

  1. Click the Gear icon in the upper-right corner, and select Manage Users.
  2. Go to the Accounting firms tab, and click the Invite button.
  3. Enter the accountant's information.
  4. Click Save.
  5. Then let your accountant undo the entire reconciliation.

If you prefer to do it by yourself, follow these instructions to undo reconciled transactions one at a time:

  1. Go to the Accounting menu. Then select Chart of Accounts.
  2. Find the account and select View register. You can filter the register to include the last 60 days of transactions so you can focus on this task.
  3. Review the check column. You can see an if the transaction was reconciled.
  4. Select the box with an R letter and keep clicking it until it's blank. It removes the transaction from the reconciliation.
  5. Then hit Save and then press Yes to confirm the modification.

Once done, redo the reconciliation process and ensure to enter the correct ending date.
