Can I print a New Hire Report?

The ability to print New Hire Report is dependent on your payroll setup, @kellybrot. I'd like to provide some information about it.

 

If you're subscribed to QuickBooks Online Payroll Core, Premium, or Elite plans, you're able to turn on the Automate taxes and forms feature in your settings. By doing this, our payroll staff will automatically pay and file your federal, state, and new hire report payroll taxes on your behalf at no additional charge.

 

However, in order to view, print, and manually file the aforementioned report, you must disable the feature from the Payroll settings. I'll guide you on how:

 

  1. Open the Gear icon and click on Payroll settings.
  2. Go to the Taxes and forms section, and hit the Pencil icon.
  3. Uncheck the Automate taxes and forms box.
  4. Select Save, then hit Done.

 

After that, go back to the Taxes page then select Payroll tax and go to the Employee set up. This allows you to see and get a copy of the form.

Unfortunately, Mich_S is wrong.   I
f you allow an employee to do self-setup in workforce and he unknowing checks New HIre report in that setup them QB does NOT file the new hire report.   This is a quirk that should have been fixed two years ago.  

 

And it would be wonderful if QB had some type of confirmation that the new hire reporting has been done.  I have also asked for this report several times.
