Question

Can I re-export time into QB if I havent invoiced for it yet? I approved & exported time w/ errors. I unapproved it & adjusted it. If I export again will it be double?

I have not reported the revised time yet because I didnt know if I needed to do anything on the QB side regarding the time that had already been exported.  Or if I export it again, does it replace it?  Thanks so much for your help!

I'm glad to see you, cr60. I'll provide you with the necessary information about re-exporting time to QuickBooks.

Yes. It's possible to re-export the time into QuickBooks again if you are using the same timesheet and have not invoiced it yet. This action will not duplicate any data that has already been entered into QuickBooks.

Before re-exporting, ensure to review and revise the details if needed. You can export Approved Timesheet Data to QuickBooks after approving timesheets.

Here's how:

  1. In the top right corner of QuickBooks Time, select QuickBooks.
  2. Select Export All Approved Time.
  3. When they proceed with the export? window displays, select Export all hours.
    • To view the export details from QuickBooks Time, select QuickBooks View Sync Log.
  4. To view the timesheet data in QuickBooks Online, select the Time tab to open Time Entries.

Please note that time can be seen and managed in QuickBooks Online in the Time tab before it is exported. For more details, open this link. It contains steps on how to approve the timesheet in QBO and QBTime: Approve, unapproved, and reject timesheets for QuickBooks Time.
