Question

Can I re-open an Quickbooks Account

Í'm helping a friend with his bar's accounting system. He had QuickBooks, but canceled it maybe 18 months ago, and switched to Wave . (I suspect he set QuickBook up wrong and problems developed). I think QuickBooks could be a good solution, probably linked to AccuPOS point of sale software, which he has.

If he closed his account 18 months ago, or there about, can he re-open this QuickBooks account and find his old data?

Thanks

Your tag is QuickBooks Desktop. Is your question related to QuickBooks Online? Afaik, Intuit will delete your account after 12 months. Did your friend keep any data locally (e.g exported file in XLS) ? You need to open a new QBO account.

Then consider utilize the importer tool to migrate the data from Wave.

Hope it helps.
