Question

Can not change user view to business. Under settings and advanced there is no option to change user view. The page it takes me to looks nothing like the tutorial

Changing user access or view is on a different window, naisaacson.

 

Follow these steps instead to change the user view or access in QBO:

 

  1. Click the Gear icon and select Manage Users.
  2. Look for the user and click the Edit button under the Action column.
  3. Select the user type and access that you want for this user.
  4. Click Save.

I still am unable to change the setting I am looking for. Settings-manage users only took me to adding a master admin. I am wanting to change the account view from accountant to business. I am following this tutorial https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9KaRDDFm8Iw&list=PLVxBmyedTVhTRQRYeZJfVBpz_12zwHc6Z    and am trying to change the setting talked about at the 2 minute mark.

Based on the information you've provided, it seems that you've signed up in QuickBooks Online for a long time now. The option to change the Business view to Accountant is currently available for new subscribers.

 

This feature is added to the old company data or accounts by batch or cluster. We don't know what cluster of company files have been update, but I am confident that this process is still ongoing. You'll have this feature on your company file soon, too.
