Question

Can we run a report that breaks down income and expense by client and by item. It's called "Estimates vs Actuals" in desktop. But we don't put estimates in QB. Ideas? TNX

I'm here to make sure you can get the same report, @jwark24.

Finding new ways to adapt to our customers’ needs is how QuickBooks gets even better. For now, we don't have an option to break down income and expenses by client and by item.

That said, I'd suggest sharing your thoughts and ideas through your account. Our product development team reviews all the feedback we receive to ensure we’re meeting the needs of our customers. Just click this link for the steps: How do I submit feedback?

For now, you'll have to run separate reports as a workaround. Just pull up these reports Profit and Loss DetailedSales by Product/Service Summary, and Purchases by Product/Service Detail report. Then, you can export them to an excel file to view them as one and manually edit the transactions from there.

For more details on how to print, email, and export reports: Run reports in QuickBooks Online. From there, you can click the articles in the Do more with reports in the QuickBooks columnThis will guide you on how to get the specific reports and customization you need.

I'm also adding this article to further guide you in managing the growth of your business using QuickBooks. It includes topics about account management, banking, and expenses, to name a few. You can click the + More topics button to view other selections.

Don't hesitate to tag my name in the comment section below if you have other concerns or questions. I'm always ready to help. Stay safe, @jwark24.
