Question

Can you help me connect our company's previous QB account with our current account? We switched owners and username but have the same bank account and company name. Thx!

Hello, @diane-i4biz-com.

Let me provide you some information about combining two accounts in QuickBooks.

Currently, connecting two QuickBooks Online accounts is unavailable. However, you can always connect the same bank account to your company, then re-add the transactions. This way, you categorize and reconcile them shortly.

Here's how:

  1. Log in to your current account.
  2. Click the Banking tab, then hit Add Account
  3. Search for your bank and hit Continue.
  4. Enter your login credentials, then tap Sign In.
  5. Follow the onscreen steps to connect.

You may refer to this page, for the complete instructions: Connect bank and credit card accounts to QuickBooks Online

After that, QuickBooks will automatically download the recent transactions. Please click the Update tab on the Banking page to refresh the connection and get the latest data.

Once done, you can now move them to their specific accounts. For more details, check out this article: Categorize and match online bank transactions.

Additionally, I'd encourage you to visit these articles below about reconciling accounts and handling your chart of accounts.

Please notify me if you need anything else. I'm always here ready to help you with any banking-related concerns. Be safe.
