Change size of data field

I'm trying to figure out if it's possible to change the size of a field.  For example, adding a new expense account.  When I'm typing in the account name, I need it to allow more characters.  Is there any way to be able to adjust the data field size?

No, it's not possible to change the size, the max allowed characters, of any fields in QuickBooks. What you see is what you get.

Let me guide you on how you can make some changes on your data field, utilitree.

QuickBooks Desktop has got it all than what you think you should have. This lets you adjust the data field whenever you enter transactions. You'll only have to make sure to point your cursor on the the three dots standing vertically and drag it either to the left or right so you can increase or decrease the field.

I've added a screenshot for visual guidance on how you can do the adjustment field of your expense account:

For maximum number you can enter in each field, check out this article for more details: Character Limitations For Fields In QuickBooks.

On top of that , learn how to record what you owe your vendors using the Pay Bills window. Go through this article for more details: Pay Bills In QuickBooks Desktop.
