Changing Ownership of my QuickBooks Desktop
Product: QBDT 2021 Pro.
We recently had our admin walk out on us. We have access to the original email and the password to our QBW file. Recently our Merchant Services went inactive. Thus, what little income we have is dead as we can't accept credit cards at the moment.
I've tried the reset through the web twice and each time they come back asking for different stuff. The last time, after seeing our board minutes, they wanted a letter from our president stating that I, the treasurer, was the designated contact. I submitted all that and waited another week. This time they wanted our articles of incorporation and a list of our trustees and owners. I have no idea where they got that idea? We are a small non-profit social club. We have a very informal board that is elected each year. There are NO owners.
I think on the site I'm filing this under the wrong place and the instructions suck! Can anyone tell if you were a non-business like us, where you would file it. Please don't send me the generic directions as they haven't proved useful. Same with the support line.
Any suggestions greatly appreciated. Even if there is a way to just delete the account that is associated with our products, and I'll create a new one. QBDT 2001 Pro.
This is the last email I got from there after filing our drivers licenses, board minutes and the letter they asked for.

- Articles of Incorporation (Must list the owner by name and title)
- Recommended: A currently dated board of trustee meeting minutes showing the chairperson or president by name along with who the newly designated Primary Administrator should be.
- Photo ID and permission letter from Chairperson/President
No business documents were submitted that proved your ownership of the business or rights to take over as administrator of the business account.
