Converting QBX to QBW

I posted this earlier today (below) and received a reply explaining that I need to use Quickbooks Desktop Accountant in order to get the QBW file. Does this mean I need to contact my old bookkeeper and ask them to send me a QBW file instead? Is it normal for them to only send a QBX file? That doesn't seem to make sense to me since I can only assume most bookkeeping clients don't also have the Quickbooks Desktop Accountant software... Also, is the Quickbooks site having issues? I tried about 20 times to start a chat with customer service and the chatbox would pop up for half a second and then disappear. So then I asked in the forum, but every time I try to reply to the response it says "Authentication Failed" and I can't respond. Which is why I created a new post... I have a brand new Surface laptop and use Chrome as my browser. I have an assortment of software that I use daily for my business and haven't had an issue on any other site, so I can only assume it's not just me.  Earlier Post: I had a falling out with my bookkeepers and they sent over my records in a QBX file. I can't seem to figure out how to get that into my QBO account. The instructions I have found want me to convert the file in QB Desktop, but I don't have access to QB Desktop. I don't want to talk to my old bookkeepers unless I absolutely have to. Is there another way? Response to Earlier Post: Hello there, @userhiring. The QBX file is a client's accountant's copy that needs to be converted into a working file (.QBW) through QuickBooks Desktop Accountant before you can export it to your QuickBooks Online company. You'll need to use the QuickBooks Desktop Accountant. If not, you won't be able to work with the file. Here's how to do it in  QuickBooks Desktop Accountant: 1.Go to the File menu. 2. Pick Send Company File and Accountant's Copy. 3. Click Convert Accountant’s Copy to Company File/QBW, then OK. 4. Choose a location where you want to save it, then select Save. 5. Select OK.
