Deleting check register entry

I am new to Quickbooks and using Desktop for Mac 2020. I entered a credit card charge in my check register by mistake. How do I delete or correct the entry so my numbers aren't thrown off? Everything online I've researched doesn't seem to apply to this version of QB.

Thanks, T

Hello, @24capt.

You can delete the transaction from the register.

Here's how:

  1. Open your QuickBooks Desktop for Mac, then go to the Lists menu.
  2. Select Chart of Accounts.
  3. From the result, choose the bank account where the credit charge was posted.
  4. Double-click it to open.
  5. Look for the transaction from there, then click it.
  6. Press Command + D on your keyboard.
  7. Tap OK to confirm the action.

After following the steps provided, you should now be able to remove the credit card charge successfully.
