I do not like the idea that a transaction can be deleted.  Is there a way to limit a user's ability to delete any transactions?  Or is there a work around?

Greetings, Laurie805! We are happy to hear from you and value the information you shared with us regarding deleting access to your QuickBooks Online account. It is our pleasure to give you details on this matter.

We want to ensure that all QuickBooks users can utilize the program without any challenges. In QuickBooks Online, you may control a user's roles and restrict their access to particular tasks when you add them and can navigate what users can see and perform in various QuickBooks areas. Currently, the option to limit a user's ability to delete any transactions is unavailable. Feel free to send a feature request to our product developers because they may consider adding this in future product improvements. Here's how:

  1. Select the Gear icon, then choose Feedback.
  2. Type your comments or suggestions.
  3. Click Next to submit.

That's odd. It's been available in QuickBooks Desktop for about 30 years. I guess this is just another way QuickBooks Desktop is better than QuickBooks Online.
