To confirm, are you trying to add an accountant to access your company file? If so, you can give your accountant access to your company by following these steps:

 

  1. Go to the Settings icon and select Manage users.
  2. Select Accounting firms.
  3. Select Invite.
  4. Enter the accountant's name and email address, then select Save.
  5. Your accountant will be sent an email with a link to sign in to your QBO company.
  6. Your accountant will be asked to create a user ID before signing in the first time unless they already have an account with Intuit Business Services.
  7. Until your accountant signs in, their status will remain as Invited on the Manage Users page. After accepting the invitation, their status changes to Active.
  8. Click Next
  9. Click Finish.
