Does any one know how to connect to a business bank account when the login requires a Company ID, a User ID and a Password?

Let me share some information and help you connect your business bank account, @mecavanagh.

 

When you set up online banking, the system will only ask you to enter the username and password you use for your bank's website. See sample screenshot below:

 

Sometimes, a financial institution will have various bank names on the list. Also, they might have different types of accounts but only prefer to release one website for QuickBooks Online connection.

 

You'll want to try other versions of your financial institution to ensure you have the right bank. You can search by entering the bank URL to ensure you are using the correct listing.

 

Let me show you how:

 

  1. In your QBO account, go to the Banking menu on the left panel.
  2. Choose the Add account or Link account button.
  3. Enter your bank's URL in the search field. 
  4. Select the loop to go to your bank's website that opens a new window.
  5. Make sure you can enter your account through this site. 
  6. If you can access everything, log out of the financial institution's website.
  7. Go back and continue connecting your account in QuickBooks Online.

Then, you can start reviewing and categorizing the entries in your QBO account.
