Hello tmemdy,

Currently, these features are unavailable in QuickBooks Online. However, you can visit our App store to check any app that compatible with these options.

You can also visit this site that contains resources for software development: Intuit Developer.

Please don't hesitate to post again with any questions. Have a great day!

Chiming in, we also need SAML support for logging into QuickBooks Online with Azure AD.

this does not answer the question. WHEN WILL YOU SUPPORT AZURE SSO? People do not want to build their own custom apps. It is almost 2022, Azure SSO should be standard for every single web development application. Can QB give us an estimated timeline when this will be available please?

Agree, this is a much needed feature for those many organizations who use Office 365/Azure and who do not use Google.

Me three. Google Cloud ID is a no brainer for SSO access. It's free with every paid Google Workspace account. Every small business that is your client is likely to have Google or Microsoft and will want this function. Please implement this soon.

Just bumping this thread up again and agreeing with everyone else in this chat.  It is very irritating that the only response we can get from Intuit is to go post on another developer forum and/or punt us to the feedback mechanism.  I will admit, I did go post the feedback at the link provided, but the confirmation states exactly what I expected, and why I think most feel that it is a waste of time.

Thank you for your feedback!
We regret we cannot respond to any questions here.

Although we are unable to respond individually to your suggestion, we would like to emphasize again how important and valuable your ideas are.

This is ridiculous... Intuit is such a big organization it should be able to configure SSO with Azure Active Directory

Chiming in for general SSO support with standard SAML 2.0 to any IdP via SP initiated logins. Azure, Office 365, Ping Identity, Shibboleth should all be supported for user directories in the enterprise.

Thanks for joining the Community and getting involved with this thread, rlvgq.

I can certainly understand how an option to use Single sign-on (SSO) for Azure, Office 365, Ping Identity, and Shibboleth could be useful and have submitted a suggestion about it as of today.

You can submit your own feature requests while using QuickBooks.

Here's how:

  1. In the top menu bar, go to Help, Send Feedback Online, then Product Suggestion....

  2. Choose a Type of Feedback and Product Area (optional) from your available drop-down menus.

  3. Enter any suggestions/feedback in the Here is my suggestion: field.

  4. If you'd like, include your name/email in the My name is: (optional) and My e-mail address is: (optional) fields.

  5. Select Send Feedback.

Your feedback's definitely valuable to Intuit. It will be reviewed by our Product Development team and considered in future updates. You can stay up-to-date with the latest news about your product by reviewing Intuit's Product Updates webpage.

You also have the option of checking our QuickBooks App Store for apps which may be able to help you accomplish what you're looking to do.

If there's any questions, I'm just a post away. Have a wonderful day!

Bumping for Azure AD SSO.

March 25, 2023

Yep. It's still insane. Don't even have it for their $2400/yr advanced plans.

April 12, 2023

Another request for Azure SSO / SAML 2.0 integration.  This is a deal breaker for us and will be leaving the platform.

Another Request for SSO for Azure!

July 31, 2023

We have been using QB Enterprise Desktop for quite a while and are now considering QB Online, along with several other licenses for multiple companies. Unfortunately, without Azure SSO / SAML 2.0 integration I doubt we will continue using this accounting platform.

Just created an account to say... This post has been active for 3+ years now and QB is still yet to shed any light on when we can expect an implementation.

This is extremely poor considering any modern software or service pushed out in this day and age is utilising AD / SSO with ease.

Pick up your game QB or you will begin to see users find another platform that is capable.

Just here to say our company is looking to transition from desktop to QBO with azure SSO.

QBO Support was not much help and seemed aggravated at the question. There should be someone in Intuit that can provide some guidance.

August 22, 2023

I find it hard to believe that this is still not implemented. The other questions in QuickBooks Community I have found referencing this are clearly asking for a SSO implementation to log into QuickBooks Online. Yet responses from Intuit are directing people to the Intuit developers page for creating their own custom app using Intuit for SSO.

Please Intuit, there must be someone working in identity that understands SAML that could respond to this request. We just want to be able to leverage our own IdP via SAML to log into Quickbooks Online. Kind of how you can currently "Sign in with Google", except using an IdP that is not Google (Azure, Okta, generic SAML, etc).
