Hello, Stan. I can help you add a user in QuickBooks Online.

Before anything, it would be helpful to know if you encountered any specific error messages when trying to add users. Please note that only the company admin has the authority to add new users. If the option is greyed out, you will want to have access by changing to company admin.

It's also important for me to know which QuickBooks product you are using, as this feature is available in QBO Simple Start, Essentials, Plus, and Advanced. Let's also ensure that you are logged in to the correct account. Your additional input will be valuable in providing you with the right steps to resolve the issue.

Firstly, let's check if this issue is related to your browser by accessing your account in a private browser using these shortcut keys:

  • Mozilla Firefox: CTRL + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: CTRL + Shift + N
  • Google Chrome: CTRL + Shift + N
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N

If the error is fixed after this, then the issue is caused by your browser. You'll want to clear your regular browser cache and use other supported browsers.

Additionally, here's an article about different options for user roles and access permission: User roles and access rights in QuickBooks Online.

If you want to learn about limits that apply to how many billable users, chart of accounts, classes, locations, and tags you can add to QuickBooks, refer to this insightful resource: Learn about usage limits in QuickBooks Online.

Please feel free to stay in touch for updates and for further assistance on adding users and other QuickBooks-related queries. Just comment on your replies, and I'll be ready to help. Take care!
