Don't understand how to figure out an entry on the discrepancy report?

When there's a change in transactions or when you add or delete transactions in a reconciled period, they are reported in the discrepancy report (Reconciliation Change Report). 

Changes could be:

•  modifying the amount of a transaction
• deleted a reconciled transaction
• changing the reconciliation status of a transaction from reconciled to being unreconciled.

Once you know which transactions cause issues, you can open your checking register and correct them. I'm including these articles for your reference:
