Let's get this sorted out to keep an accurate record in QuickBooks Online, mdenny1.

I'd also like to ask if the transactions are automatically added to your register via online banking? If so, I'd suggest reaching out to your bank to check what's causing the issue to prevent this from happening again. All transactions added in the online banking section depend on the data that's been shared by your financial institutions.

In the meantime, you follow the steps in this article on how to remove duplicate transactions after downloading them: Exclude a Bank Transaction You Downloaded Into QuickBooks Online.

If you're not using online banking, it's possible that the transactions were accidentally added twice in your register. I'd suggest reaching out to your accountant to make sure that you're removing the duplicate transaction. Then, follow these on how to manually delete them:

  1. Open your bank register.
  2. Choose the transactions in question, one at a time.
  3. Click on the transaction to see more options.
  4. Select Delete, then click Yes.
