Thanks for reaching out to us, greg-creativemat.

If your taxpayer information is incorrect, outdated, or expired, we'll email or contact you to let you know. We try to verify the info when you use QuickBooks' payment or payroll services. You'll be asked to update if we're unable to validate the information.

Please review the instruction and deadline in the email you received from us. You can also double-check if your taxpayer information is correct by going to the account and settings.

Here's how:

  1. Go to Settings , then select Account and settings.
  2. Go to Company.
  3. Select any item you want to update.
  4. Click Save, then select Done.

If you use QuickBooks Online Payroll, I recommend contacting our Payroll Support to update the information.

Support is available from Monday to Friday from 6 AM to 6 PM PT.

For your reference, you can read this article for more insights: Fix Invalid Taxpayer Information.

Do you want to know the deadline for your tax payments so you can file on time and stay out of trouble? If so, you can set up and use QuickBooks' automated sales tax feature. With this, QuickBooks will precisely compute sales tax and returns while also keeping track of your state taxes.

You're welcome to post again if you have further questions or concerns. Take care and stay safe.
