the report w/in QBO lists the appropriate details, but the export to excel feature only lists the vendors, not the totals for said vendors... correspondingly, the export to pdf lists both vendor and totals properly.

I want to ensure you'll be able to export the report with the data you need, @clshelton71.

Let's start with accessing your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account using an incognito browser. This prevents you from saving data on your device that may cause issues when accessing websites. Below are the shortcut keys you can use:

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft Edge: press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: press Command + Shift + N

Once signed in, go to the Reports menu to open and export the Expenses by Vendor Summary report. You'll see the .xlsx file at the bottom part of the window. Right-click it and choose Open.

If this works, let's clear your browser's cache to have a clean slate. Browser's cache helps your system to load faster. These, on the other hand, can also prevent web pages from loading.

If the issue persists, you may want to use another supported browser when exporting a report from QBO. Performing QBO tasks usually depends on your computer’s operating system, your internet speed, and your web and mobile browser.

You'll want to change the format and add or remove columns of a report you open to show the data you need the most. Then, save the modifications to apply the same formats in the future.

Stay in touch if there's anything else you need about exporting vendor reports in QBO. I'm just a few clicks away to help.
