Hello there, @Laurie808.

If you're using an iOS for your mobile, note that there's an investigation about this. If Android, we can conduct a phone troubleshooting for this. I'll explain this to you further.

We want you to note that if you're utilizing your QB app using iOS, there's an ongoing investigation (INV-105728) about expenses that show no category. For now, you can manually add the categories again using the app to be able to see the categories for the expense.

While our product engineers are working to fix this as soon as possible, I recommend contacting our Online Team support to be listed as one of the affected users. Once added, you'll be notified via email when there's an update on this issue.

However, if you're using Android for your QB app, we can perform a phone troubleshooting to fix any issues you're experiencing with our platform. To proceed, follow the steps below.

  1. In the Menu ☰, click More Options ⋮.
  2. From Settings, tap Refresh Data.
  3. To confirm, select YES.

If the issue persists, you can uninstall and reinstall the QB app to keep the application in its new update to avoid any concerning issues while working with QuickBooks.

On the other hand, view the added article to understand more about the process and overview regarding with QBO app: QuickBooks Online app overview.

After that, if you still have queries about categories in your expense, you can reply below to let us know. We'll be glad to help. Take care!
