Filed a w-2 with a typo in the Social Security number, need to get a copy of the archived document and fix it?

Welcome to the Community. I can share some information about how to fix W-2s in QuickBooks Online.

If there's a correction after you file your W-2s, you'll need to create and submit a W-2c form with the Social Security Administration manually. For the detailed instructions, check out the General Instructions for Forms W-2c and W-3c section in General Instructions for Forms W-2 and W-3.

To view archived payroll forms, please follow these steps:

1. Go to the Taxes menu.
2. Select Payroll Tax.
3. In the Form column, click the View and Print Archived Forms hyperlink under the Annual Forms section.
4. In the Archive Forms window, filter Annual Tax Forms, then choose either W-2, Copies B, C &2, or W-3.
5. Locate and select the W-2, Copies B, C &2, or W-3 hyperlink.
6. Click the View button.
7. Select the Print icon once ready to print.

You can use the payroll reports available in QuickBooks to help you fill out the W-2c form.
