I recently learned about Free QuickBooks Online Software for Teachers and Students.

How do I apply for this type of account?

Students and teachers can get a free access to QuickBooks Online through our Intuit Education Program (IEP). You can apply and set up your account by visiting our website or sending an email to education@intuit.com.

Once registered, you will be given a complimentary license to QuickBooks Online Account. Your students on the other hand will be given a 12-month access to QuickBooks Online Plus. You can see more details about IEP in this article: Intuit Education Program.

For you to access the free software for educators and students, you may follow these steps:

Go to this link: https://www.intuit.com/partners/education-program/.
Choose the software you want to access under Features & Benefits.
Under Register for free, select either Educators or Students.
Fill in the required information.
Select Verify and Close.
Follow the next on-screen steps/process.

On the other hand, if you wish to get the free access to QuickBooks Desktop, just click on Looking for QuickBooks Desktop?, in this link: Empower your students with free QuickBooks.

Hi, I have a question. My one year free student quickbooks online plus account expired and I'm still a student and would like to have another year of quickbooks free. Since I'm still a student, will quickbooks give me another year free of plus?

Yes, you can still get a free license for QuickBooks. All you have to do is re-register and complete the form. Once your student status is verified, you'll get the license and start using your account.

It can be renewed.

When the license gets expired, you'll have to register again and complete the given form. Once your status gets verified, you'll get another license to start using your QuickBooks account.

Similar to your Inuit Education Program with free or reduced rate services to teachers and students, it would be great if the same program could be applied to mental health professionals. These clinicians are bearing the weight of our country's mental health crisis and are completely capped in their earning potential by the insurance companies which haven't raised their rates in decades despite inflation. Their earnings are substantially lower compared to medical professionals with similar education and training and they have to pay for all of their business fees, medical benefits, and retirement savings out of pocket. Plus there is no sick leave or PTO. More programs like this would benefit these vital workers as they continue to service others.

Click on Sign up for free under Empower your students with QuickBooks.
Fill out the details, then Verify and continue.

To verify your eligibility, you're asked to provide the following:

Your full and legal name that matches the one you entered in the registration form
Your school name
A date within the last three months

Prepare an electronic copy of the official document then click Choose File to find and select the document (acceptable formats are .jpg, .pdf, .png, .bmp, or .gif) and tap Submit for review. After that, you can follow Step 3 of this article to activate your student trial: Register and activate a QuickBooks Online student trial.

To be able to register in QuickBooks for students, you may need to have your educator sign up for the product first. Welcome emails with forms are sent after your educator's registration. After that, have your teacher email the completed form to educationregistration@intuit.com with each student's name who wants to use QuickBooks.

Here's how:

Go to the Intuit Education Program website.
Select the Sign up for free.
Fill up the form, then click Verify and continue.

If your educator can’t find their school on the list during registration, the school may be new to our program and not on-boarded yet. Have them send an email to education@intuit.com including the name of the school. The Education Team will confirm if the school qualifies and add them to the list.

I have been trying to log into the Quick books Online account with my PACE University E-mail but unfortunately is not working.

To verify, could you tell me if you receive any error messages when attempting to log in to the QBO account? That information is a great help so I can provide a timely solution.

In the meantime, we can perform some troubleshooting steps to determine if this is a browser-related issue. Let's start with attempting to log in via an incognito browser to have a clean slate. Below are the shortcut keys you can use:

Google Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N
Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl + Shift + P
Microsoft Edge: press Ctrl + Shift + P
Safari: press Command + Shift +N

When opened, check if you can now sign in to the QBO account. If this works, go back to your regular browser and clear the cache to eliminate piled-up data that might caused the issue. If not, you can utilize another supported browser or device.
