Hello, anaheimhillsfenc.

I'll be sharing the first out of six steps in exporting QuickBooks Online (QBO) data to QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).

Let's make sure to set up the security settings of your Internet Explorer (IE). QuickBooks is intended to set up IE so you have a smooth export experience. Let me show you how.

Here's how to set up your IE:

  1. Right-click the Internet Explorer icon and click Run as administrator
  2. Go to the Tools icon, then Internet Options
  3. Select Security, then Trusted sites
  4. Click Sites
  5. Enter: *.intuit.com in the Add this website to the zone field.
  6. Make sure Require server verification (https: ) for all sites in this zone is unchecked.
  7. Close the Trusted Sites window.
  8. Make sure Enable Protected Mode is unchecked.
  9. Select Apply, then Okay. Leave Internet Explorer open.

Once done, you can follow and proceed with the steps 2 provided in this article to complete the process: Export and convert your QuickBooks Online data to QuickBooks Desktop.

When you transfer data from one QuickBooks platform to the other, there’s some information that won’t come over to the desktop version. Check out the Limitations when you convert from QuickBooks Online to QuickBooks Desktop guide for the detailed list.

You can bookmark the Get started with QuickBooks Desktop guide for future reference. It contains a breakdown of articles to help set up your business to make sure your financial statements are accurate. Click on the topic to view the complete details.

Reach out to me if you need further assistance performing any of these steps. I’ll be glad to help and make sure this is taken care of for you. Enjoy the rest of the day.
