Question

Hi guys. I have 2 QBO accounts, one for my business (plus) and one for my personal (the basic) account. I am looking to use two different logins for each.

want my wife to have access to the personal, no need for her to have access to my business. and since we are using the basic plan for personal, there is room for only one user. Bonus points if as I as the master usser can still access BOTH accounts witout the need to re log in and out each time, but again, prefer my wife not to have access ot my business.

Hi there, @todd32.

You can change the email address of your business company credentials. I'll guide you through the steps.

If you're using the QuickBooks Self- Employed, here's how:

  1. Select the Profile ⚙ icon and select Intuit Account. The Intuit Account Manager will open.
  2. Go to the Sign in and Security menu.
  3. Select Edit in the Email Address section and make changes.
  4. Select Save when you're done.

If you're using QuickBooks Online, please refer to the steps below.

  1. Go to Settings ⚙ and select Intuit Account.
  2. This opens the Intuit Account Manager.
  3. Go to the Sign in and Security menu.
  4. Click Edit in the Email Address section and enter the changes.
  5. Select Save.

To know more about handling your QuickBooks account, I'd recommend checking out this article: Change your email, user ID, or password for QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Self-Employed.

I'll be here if you need further assistance or if you have other questions. I'd be happy to answer them for you. Take care.

For further clarity.. I am looking to separate these two.. so I can have one login with my wife and another login that's my business...  I don't want them blended together here (meaning I don't want my wife to have access to my business.. that simple)

AND we only have one user on our personal account, which is why I can't just make a user for her (and I assume if I did then she would not be able to see the business that's linked?)

I've attached a screenshot of what I mean... how you see TWO accounts when I log in.
