Hi there! Our 1099s have the old company address. This is confusing since we changed this in the company info area 8 months ok.

We are confused why this is happening since we changed the address in the QB settings

Thanks for coming to the Community for your concerns. I'm here to help ensure you can file your 1099 with the correct address on file.

 

First off, let's ensure you're logged in to the correct company. Then, update your company info in QuickBooks Online. Here's how: 

 

  1. Go to the Settings menu, then Account and settings.
  2. Select Sales, then select the Messages section. 
  3. Update your company name anywhere it appears here.
  4. Select Company, then Company name.
    • EIN: Select EIN and enter your new info.
    • Business name or legal name: Enter your new info in the Company name field. This is your public business name that customers see. If it's different than the name your company uses for tax purposes, uncheck Same as company name and enter your Legal name.

 

        5. If you use location tracking and have different business names for different locations, update your custom sales forms by location.
