How can I add the reference number to my P&L report?

I'd also like to ask if trying to add a column for memo or reference number in your Profit and Loss report? If so, there's no option to add the reference number in the standard report. This is because it is just a summary of your income and expense accounts and their current balances.

You'll want to click the amount that corresponds to the account under the Total column. It will open a Transaction Report within your Profit and Loss report that has a Memo/Description column.

You'll also want to run the Profit and Loss Detail report instead. This will give you a more detailed list of transaction. The Memo/Description is also automatically added. Just go to the Reports menu and look for Profit and Loss Detail in the Search bar.
