Question

How can I change the column width on reports I am trying to view? I get the <-||-> icon but can't adjust width. I have to scroll sideways. Zooming makes font too small.

I'd like to help with your question about running reports, rsayre.

I tried to resize the columns in my reports in QBO. Can you tell us what happens when you drag your mouse to the left or right?

In the meantime, I'll share some steps to check if a browser issue is preventing you from changing the width of the columns.

First, switch to an incognito/private browsing session or a different browser. These are some of the keyboard shortcuts to open an incognito session:

  • Ctrl Shift N  for Google Chrome
  • Ctrl Shift P for Firefox
  • Control Option +if you're using Safari
  • Ctrl Shift P for Microsoft Edge

QBO also works well with any of the browsers that I mentioned.

Second, go back to your account and check if you can now resize the columns. If you're able to do it, follow the steps in this article to delete your browsing history: Clear Cache And Cookies To Fix Issues When Using QuickBooks Online

Aside from that, you can also export the report to Excel. Then, resize the columns from there. Here's an article as a guide: Export Your Reports To Excel From QuickBooks Online.

Allow me to give you more articles for extra references when running reports:
