Question

How can I give my account edit rights so she can make other categories or subcategories for us? I only see "Make primary admin" but she says not to use this.

I have some information to share regarding the accountant's access and the creating of other categories and sub-categories, Carlos.

When you invite your accountant to your QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE), they will have the same access as the Primary Admin, except for the ability to edit or remove the primary admin's access. Therefore, making them as the Primary Admin is not advisable.

On the other hand, creating another category and sub-category in QBSE is unavailable, unlike in QBO. Rest assured that our development team recognizes the significance of this feature and is actively working on implementing dynamic categories. This aims to maintain the integrity of tax categories for tax forms to ensure accurate estimated taxes while providing more flexibility to users.

You can visit this article to learn more about this: Custom categories in QuickBooks Self-Employed

Please let me know if you have further information or inquiries regarding this matter, Carlos. We will be around to provide the assistance you need.
